KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Extraction & Management

  • Extract, consolidate, and validate data from multiple systems across the manufacturing environment (SAP, MES, manual logs, and other sources)
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability for operational decision-making
  • Identify gaps in data collection and partner with teams to improve data capture processes
  • Support development of standardized data structures for reporting and analytics

Dashboard Development & Visualization

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators, including:
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Throughput and production output
  • Scrap and yield performance
  • Downtime and equipment utilization
  • Create clear, actionable visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
  • Continuously improve dashboards to support real-time decision making on the production floor

Manufacturing Performance & Analytics

  • Analyze production, quality, and maintenance data to identify trends and inefficiencies
  • Support root cause analysis efforts with data tied to downtime, scrap, and performance losses
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to quantify performance gaps and track improvements
  • Assist in building leading indicators or basic predictive models for equipment performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work directly with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Translate operational challenges into data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Support alignment between data, planning, and execution
  • Participate in daily and weekly operational reviews to provide visibility into performance

Continuous Improvement & Strategy Support

  • Support development of data-driven strategies to improve plant performance
  • Assist initiatives focused on improving:
  • Equipment uptime
  • Labor efficiency
  • Production flow
  • Cost per unit (CPU)
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual processes

Communication & Reporting

  • Present findings, trends, and recommendations in a clear and concise way
  • Build reports that are easy to interpret and drive action
  • Support leadership with data insights for operational and strategic decisions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work through large datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Proficiency in Excel required; Python, R, or SQL preferred
  • Understanding of data cleaning, structuring, and basic statistical analysis
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain insights clearly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing or production systems is a plus
