Job description

Data Analyst
Full-Time Hybrid (potential for remote)
The Data Analyst plays an important role on the Analytics Team at Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) by supporting agency-wide data needs. Under the supervision of the Data Scientist, this position is responsible for gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on data from NKHS's electronic medical record (EMR) system and other sources. The Data Analyst works collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure data is accurate, meaningful, and supports informed decision-making across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Extract, clean, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources
โ€ข Prepare reports and data summaries for a variety of audiences
โ€ข Create dashboards and visualizations to highlight key metrics and trends
โ€ข Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to monitor data quality and accuracy
โ€ข Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs
โ€ข Contribute to the development and standardization of data analysis and data management best practices
โ€ข Assist the Data Scientist with statistical modeling projects, including data preprocessing, visualization, and validation of results
โ€ข Maintain compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards
Position Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
โ€ข One to three (1-3) years of experience in data analysis or a related field
โ€ข Strong proficiency in SQL
โ€ข Advanced Excel skills
โ€ข Proficiency in a programming language used for data analysis (e.g., R or Python)
โ€ข Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
โ€ข Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
โ€ข Understanding of basic statistical theory and data analysis techniques
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
โ€ข Experience with non-profit, social impact, or human services organizations preferred
โ€ข Experience with program evaluation or impact assessment preferred
