YOUR IMPACT

As the Senior Manager of Master Data Services, you will take charge of both the operational and strategic aspects of data management. Leading a global team, you'll oversee the management of key master data within OpenText, including Customer, Vendor, Material and financial data. With your expertise and passion for Master Data Management, you'll drive quality improvements and develop and manage policies to ensure the protection of sensitive data and information assets.

Your role will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise-wide data management framework, covering data policies, standards, and practices across both business and functional areas. This will be critical in achieving the necessary consistency, quality, and protection of data assets to align with our business goals.

You'll also serve as the primary point of escalation for issues related to operations, governance, data quality, and protection. Collaborating closely with leadership across business and functional areas, you will work to enhance the quality and value of core data assets while supporting the strategic needs of the organization.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • To develop and implement an enterprise master data management roadmap with strategic priorities for information capabilities.
  • To define and roll out a master data framework focusing on data quality improvement and sensitive data protection.
  • To define and manage the roles and responsibilities for the stewardship of the company's key information assets.
  • To function as a liaison between Business, Functional areas, and technology to align data protection requirements with operational planning.
  • To develop and maintain an inventory of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and data owners.
  • To facilitate the creation of data quality and protection standards across the organization and lead their adoption.
  • To define performance indicators and metrics, ensuring compliance with data governance policies and roles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • At least 6 years of experience in a major technology organization, with expertise in large-scale data management and oversight.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-leading data quality and data protection management practices.
  • Experience with master data practices and understanding of business and technology issues related to managing enterprise information assets and data protection.
  • Proven consulting skills, including change management strategies, communication, culture change, and performance measurement system design.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems for managing master data.
  • Expertise in risk data architecture, technology solutions, and recognized as a subject matter expert both internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management.
