Primary Purpose
The purpose of this specialized position is to design, develop and implement business intelligence, data analytics and digital solutions (reporting, dashboards and data visualization, advanced analytics, and workflow automation) across the full suite of EAS services while developing programmatic and ad-hoc data solutions from core Exelon systems. The position requires advanced technical skills and will primarily use Power BI, SQL, Power Apps and Power Automate to develop automated data-analytical reports and workflows on company-wide data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and enable data-driven, risk-informed decision making for our auditors and business partners. The purpose of this role is to also enable business partners across BSC and our various OpCos by developing and embedding data analytics solutions in business processes to solve data and analytics-related challenges and further optimize the control environment. The position will understand Exelon's applications, platforms and databases, which serve as data sources, including the associated risks and controls. Additionally, individual could be responsible for the coordination and execution of core assurance and business enablement. activities, including business risk assessment activities, design and operational effectiveness testing, and evaluation of control failures while serving as liaison to business partners to ensure that the companies risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. Individual will support other business initiatives and will be responsible for expressing opinions and providing insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment while identifying and communicating continuous improvement, control optimization and risk mitigation opportunities to business partners.
Primary Duties
  • Collaborate in the design, development and implementation of business intelligence, data analytics and digital technology solutions to support core assurance and business enablement activities. Includes the preparation and delivery of dashboards and data visualization summaries to support formal communications and informed insights on the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and internal controls.
  • Support other EAS and business initiatives to continuously improve internal processes and optimize the control environment. Includes developing and embedding data analytics solutions in business processes to solve data and analytics-related challenges.
  • Provide active assistance and support of others to build EAS team capabilities in the use of analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques. Enable a high performing learning organization.
  • Management and database administration of a dedicated EAS data analytics platform and database which houses data from across Exelon for detailed analysis (Accounts Payable, HR, Utility Billing, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Social Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related subject area
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfort querying, interpreting and visualizing data from a variety of different sources to create a cohesive story
  • Proficient user skills in Excel
  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience with data exploration, data visualization, data preparation, report design and delivery using Power BI/Tableau or other business intelligence tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • High standards for customer service and the ability to build effective working relationships

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient user skills in Power Query, Power Pivot
  • Experience developing Power BI Dashboards, Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
  • Experience & knowledge in relational databases
