What You'll Be Doing

The Developer, Performance Management Data & Analytics will be accountable for the solution design and code development of performance measurement datasets, reporting solutions, and analytics initiatives, as well as ad-hoc second level support for data inquiries and production incidents from business and technology partners in the Personal & Small Business Performance Management portfolio within Finance.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

  • Data and Analytics Solution Design and Development - perform the solution design for performance reporting, data management, and analytics initiatives; support rationale based on requirements analysis, peer discussion, and consulting with business and technology partners; provide design walkthroughs to the team; develop the code for existing and new applications; and perform unit testing.
  • Data Quality and Integrity - partner with other team members to provide input and support for quality assurance phases; provide first and second level support and fix variances as required, and document the resolution following internal guidelines.
  • Business and Technology Partnership - interact with business and technology partners for clarification of business needs, and work with the intake management team to ensure clear, concise, and complete documentation for ongoing support.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in advanced SAS and Oracle SQL, stored procedure and ETL development and automation, ability to create/update tables, views, triggers, and functions, and execute processes with dynamic conditions. It's an asset if you have development expertise in Alteryx, Tableau, Essbase, Databricks/ Azure and VBA (Excel, MS Access advanced/automated macros), and you have an ability to work interchangeably in waterfall and agile environments.
