Job description

The Associate Director, Business Operations & Data Analytics, Diagnostic Imaging (DI) & Telemedicine (TM) will lead the business operations and data analytics functions across IDEXX Diagnostic Imaging and Telemedicine. You will be joining an entrepreneurial leadership team that is driving innovation, expanded care access, and growth in the veterinary imaging sector. This key role owns the operational backbone of our LOB organization; designing and scaling the processes, systems, and analytical frameworks that enable our teams to perform at their best. Your primary goal will be to advance operational capabilities & maturity, eliminate friction in our operations, unlock insight from our data, and deploy AI-powered solutions that accelerate decision-making and business outcomes. You will lead a team of 5-6 across sales operations and data analytics, and serve as a key strategic partner to commercial, product, and finance leadership.

  • Operational Excellence: Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end sales and service operational processes - from deals review to order flow and pricing execution - with a relentless focus on eliminating inefficiency and scaling what works.
  • Process Automation: Identify high-value automation opportunities across commercial operations and lead their execution. Champion a focus on moving away from manual, repetitive workflows toward automated systems that free up capacity and reduce error.
  • AI-Powered Operations: Champion the use of AI tools and agents to automate business processes and analytical workflows. This includes deploying LLM-assisted reporting, intelligent alerting, and autonomous data pipelines that surface the right insights at the right time - without requiring manual intervention.
  • Data Analytics Leadership: Own the analytical agenda for the DI & TM business. Define, build, and maintain the core data models, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure that give leadership clear, trusted answers to business-critical questions - from funnel performance and customer retention to revenue forecasting and case volume trends.
  • Business-Critical Insights: Partner with LOB, commercial and finance leadership to frame key business questions and deliver rigorous, data-backed answers. You and your team will be the definitive source of truth for business performance across the segment.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to the VP/GM and LOB/commercial leaders, translating operational and analytical insight into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Talent Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing, diverse team across sales ops and analytics. Create clear roles, invest in individual growth, and establish a team culture defined by ownership, and continuous improvement.

What you will need to succeed

  • 8+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or data analytics roles, with demonstrated progression in scope and impact.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, with a track record of building effective teams and developing talent.
  • Deep expertise in commercial operations fundamentals: CRM management (Salesforce preferred), order flow, pipeline reporting, and revenue operations.
  • Strong analytical foundation - you are comfortable writing SQL, building data models, and designing dashboards.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying automation to streamline operational workflows, whether through no-code/low-code tools, scripting, or modern data stack tooling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, partnering across sales, marketing, finance, product, and medical teams to drive shared outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex operational and analytical findings into clear, executive-ready narratives.

Strongly Preferred:

  • MBA and/or management consulting experience at a Big Three firm
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in a business context - including using LLMs, AI agents, or automation platforms to reduce manual work and accelerate insight delivery.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Health / Dental / Vision benefits day one.
  • Additional benefits including but not limited to financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and so much more!
