Iris's client, one of the world's largest multinational investment banking and financial services corporation is looking to hire an Crypto Technology Engineer Our direct client is a is a world-leading financial services company, provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial services and products.

Title: Crypto Technology Engineer

Location: Southlake TX or Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 24+ Months

Note: 3 days/week hybrid

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a Senior Crypto Technology Engineer with expertise in blockchain integration, digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, and enterprise crypto platforms. The ideal candidate will design and develop secure, scalable solutions for digital asset management, blockchain connectivity, transaction processing, and institutional custody services. This role requires hands-on experience with blockchain networks (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc.), custody platforms, wallet technologies, cloud-native architectures, and security frameworks. Candidates should have strong software engineering skills, experience in regulated financial environments, and a deep understanding of digital asset ecosystems, compliance requirements, and emerging blockchain technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Blockchain & Crypto Platform Engineering

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations with public and permissioned blockchain networks, including but not limited to: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink.
  • Build secure APIs and middleware layers connecting enterprise applications with blockchain networks.
  • Develop blockchain transaction orchestration services supporting deposits, withdrawals, transfers, staking, and settlement operations.
  • Create reusable SDKs, microservices, and blockchain abstraction frameworks.

Custody & Wallet Infrastructure

  • Architect and implement digital asset custody platforms supporting - Hot wallets, Warm wallets, Cold storage solutions, multi-signature wallets
  • MPC (Multi-Party Computation) custody solutions
  • Integrate with leading institutional custody providers such as - Coinbase Prime , Fireblocks, BitGo, Anchorage Digital
  • Design secure key management and signing workflows.
  • Implement wallet provisioning, address management, transaction signing, and reconciliation processes.

Digital Asset Operations

  • Build systems supporting Crypto trading and settlement, Stablecoin operations, Token issuance and management, Staking and rewards processing, Treasury and liquidity management , Blockchain monitoring and observability
  • Support token standards including ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, SPL Tokens, and emerging digital asset protocols.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement enterprise-grade security controls for digital asset platforms, Design secure custody and transaction authorization workflows, Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Cybersecurity teams. Support regulatory requirements including KYC/AML integration, Audit and reporting requirements.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Develop highly available blockchain services using cloud-native architectures.
  • Build event-driven systems leveraging blockchain data streams.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Optimize scalability, resilience, and performance for high-volume crypto transaction processing.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on blockchain and crypto platform development experience.
  • Proven experience integrating with multiple blockchain networks.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing institutional custody solutions.
  • Experience building crypto wallets, transaction engines, or digital asset platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Blockchain Technologies: Blockchain nodes and RPC integrations, Smart contracts, On-chain data indexing, Blockchain explorers and analytics, Layer-1 and Layer-2 ecosystems
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript , Solidity
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
  • Data Technologies: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis , Kafka, Event Streaming Platforms like Confluence
  • Security: Cryptography fundamentals, HSM integrations, MPC technologies, Public/Private key infrastructure, Secure transaction signing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, brokerage, banking, or wealth management environments.
  • Experience working with digital asset exchanges and liquidity providers.
  • Knowledge of tokenization, real-world assets (RWA), and decentralized finance (DeFi).
  • Familiarity with institutional crypto custody operating models.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics and compliance platforms.
