Job description

Job Duties: Associate, Confirmations with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Assess and manage the risk of loss resulting from the failure of a counterparty to meet its contractual obligations across the firm's trading businesses. Approve legal confirmation transmission after mitigating trade risk of trade economics, seeking resolution for the economic breaks from the agreed terms between firm and counterparty. Identify and correct discrepancies raised by clients and collaborates seamlessly with Trading and Sales teams to ensure precise trade bookings. Coordinate the execution of legal confirmations and electronic trade matching to comply with legal obligation. Conduct in-depth analysis related to trade booking, causes and effects of market risk, and conduct sector/regional analysis based on concentration. Document contract language for bespoke clients, safeguarding their unique interests and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Streamline and automate the confirmation drafting process, with focus on achieving significant improvements in operational efficiency. Analyze market trend and current development to safeguard the firm from risk of clients trading without Master Contract Agreement to facilitate regulatory and compliance guidance and report relevant information impact to senior management in a timely manner. Act as a Client Relationship Manager, partnering with Sales and Trading desks to offer best-in-class client service. Negotiate and document contract language for bespoke clients.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Quantitative Finance, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Quantitative Finance, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with: utilizing data analytics platforms to streamline reporting workflows, improving visibility into performance metrics and enabling data-driven risk assessment and management decisions; advanced Microsoft Excel including analyzing and quantifying exception data used in driving process improvements and reduced manual touchpoints; working with Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and keeping them under allowable thresholds; and managing the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including pre-sale coordination, order confirmation, payment reconciliation, settlement processing, and final-stage revenue tracking and reporting to support management decision-making.
