Sales Analyst - Customer Analytics Associate

About the Role

The Customer Analytics Associate (CAA) is a critical member of Unilever's Customer Development organization. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, customer strategy, category management, and sales execution.

As a CAA, you will transform data into actionable business recommendations that help shape customer decisions,identify growth opportunities, and accelerate performance across some of Canada's largest retailers. You will work closely with Customer Business Development (CBD), Customer Strategy & Planning (CSP), Finance, CategoryManagement, and Brand teams to influence decisions through fact-based insights and compelling storytelling.

Therole is responsible for analyzing customer, category, promotional, financial, and market data to uncoveropportunities, solve business challenges, and support strategic growth initiatives. This role offers a unique foundation for a long-term career at Unilever, combining business exposure, analyticalrigor, stakeholder leadership, and continuous development. High-performing CAAs are curious, proactive, accountable, and constantly looking for ways to elevate how work gets done.

What You'll Do

Deliver Insights That Drive Growth:

  • Analyze customer, category, shopper, and market performance using multiple data sources.

  • Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations and actionable business insights.

  • Identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends that influence customer and category performance.

  • Move beyond reporting to answer the critical question: "So what?" and recommend actions.

Power Better Decisions:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reporting tools, and business performance reviews.

  • Support forecasting, planning, assortment recommendations, post-event evaluations, and promotionalanalysis.

  • Leverage data visualization tools to help stakeholders understand performance and make informed decisions.

  • Deliver deep dives, root cause analyses, and forward-looking recommendations.

Influence Through Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, CSP, Finance, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Brand teams.

  • Support customer planning and Joint Business Planning processes.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.

  • Share best practices, contribute to team capability building, and support onboarding of new team members.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Commerce, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

  • Experience and curiosity using AI tools.

  • Experience with Power BI, data visualization, or reporting tools is an asset.

  • Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, shopper insights, or similar data sources) isconsidered an asset.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $70,000-$75,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
