About The Role
OpenLoop's mission is to bring care anywhere by powering telehealth solutions at scale.
OpenLoop is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to support the growth on our Business Intelligence team. This role will serve as an analytical partner across our growing healthcare organization. They will be responsible for shaping how data informs executive decision-making, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and patient outcomes across our national tele-health platform. As a senior individual contributor, this role combines advanced analytics expertise with strong business partnership.

  • If your experience is primarily with pre-packaged data or systems, this likely isn't the right fit. You should be able to interpret, organize, and integrate data from multiple sources, and demonstrate how you use SQL to clean and structure it in a clear, efficient way.
  • This role requires hands-on, day-to-day use of SQL in an advanced developer capacity. Although a Staff level Analyst may have leadership skill and experience, ALL of our analysts are still using SQL daily and often.
  • As part of the interview process, a skill assessment will be conducted to evaluate your SQL proficiency and analytical reasoning.

What You'll Do:
  • Define, and drive analytics strategy, in partnership with executive leadership
  • Shape long-term KPI frameworks tied to patient outcomes, provider performance, compliance metrics, and operational scalability.
  • Support regulatory reporting needs and ensure analytical frameworks will align
  • Use SQL developer skills, you will often / daily, clean, organize and analyze data. to provide trends, patient engagement, provider performance, and quality measures.
  • We are expecting you to know how to do this outside of the use of AI tools, in order to evaluate data quality.
  • Ensure alignment across data definitions, reporting structures, and metric calculations.
  • Identify risks related to accuracy, audit readiness, and healthcare requirements.
  • Support critical reporting tied to quality, operational and compliance initiatives.
  • Anticipate impacts on analytics and proactively recommend data adjustments.
  • Develop predictive models and forecasting using SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.
  • Design senior level frameworks to evaluate all operational delivery initiatives.
  • Build scalable, reusable data models that support enterprise-level reporting.
  • Serve as a strategic analytics across all operations Finance, Operations, Clinical, etc.
  • Translate info from non-technical stakeholders, into structured analytical plans.
  • Lead presentations that synthesize complex data into strategic recommendations.
  • Elevate standards for data quality, reporting rigor, and analytical methodologies.
  • Mentor Senior and mid-level analysts; in both technical and business acumenIdentify gaps in data collection, governance, and reporting processes and implement scalable improvements.

Who You Are
Required
  • Experienced (ideally between 7-10 years) professional experience with exceptionally strong analytical thinking and strategic stakeholder engagement skills, focused on driving effective and influential business decisions. This role is positioned to serve as a dependable right-hand to the director, consistently demonstrating leadership capability.
  • Hands on experience with data analytics, preferably within healthcare, tele-health, or highly regulated industries -- please refer to the years of experience and details above, to differentiate between the two levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency; strong experience with Python or R.
  • Advanced experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Zoho Analytics, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, compliance considerations, and regulatory reporting environments.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to:
    • Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
    • Clarify ambiguous business requests into structured analytical plans.
    • Deliver high-quality executive presentations.
  • Strong balance of technical depth and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Comfortable managing urgent, high-visibility requests in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred
  • Experience working with multi-state healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare compliance frameworks, or regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting board-level reporting or investor analytics.
  • Experience building enterprise KPI frameworks tied to patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
