Summary
The Business, Engineering & Technology Division seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered full-time faculty member to join the Business & Hospitality Department in Fall 2026. This multidisciplinary role provides strategic leadership for the Data Business Analytics Program and AI Integration and serves as the Course Coordinator for BMGT-203: Business Ethics. The successful candidate will spearhead the integration of AI concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs) into the business curriculum while ensuring instructional excellence and ethical frameworks are applied across the department's offerings.
Essential Role Responsibilities
  • Teach a 15-credit load per semester in foundational business and business analytics courses; 3 units of release time is available for coordination in fall and spring semesters.
  • Serve as Course Coordinator for BMGT-203 (Business Ethics), providing leadership for course quality, enrollment management, and faculty development.
  • Lead the integration of Generative AI, machine learning, and AI data analysis into the broader business program curriculum.
  • Plan, organize, and teach courses in alignment with course outcomes in multiple formats (7-week and 15-week) and modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online), day or evening.
  • Prepare and update course materials, syllabi and Canvas sites in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Assist division leadership with hiring, onboarding, and coaching part-time faculty.
  • Evaluate student performance using departmental assessment tools, maintain up to date electronic grade books in Canvas and inform students of progress in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and lead program management and learning outcome assessment initiatives.
  • Maintain at least five (5) office hours per week while class is in session.
  • Attend and actively participate in department, division, and college meetings and significant institutional events.

Master's degree
Experience Required
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Business, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) of college level teaching experience in business.
  • Prior experience teaching college-level courses in Business Ethics and/or Business Analytics.
  • Subject matter expertise in data and business analytics with a demonstrated ability to connect data findings to business decisions.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated record of teaching excellence and the ability to teach using various methods and modalities.
  • Significant experience using Canvas or other learning management systems.
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of work.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years or more of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience at the community college level teaching Business Ethics or Business Analytics.
  • Prior business course or business program coordination experience.
  • Experience or training in integrating AI tools and teaching AI skills in a business curriculum.
  • Experience utilizing GenAI, machine learning, and AI data analysis.
  • Experience in curriculum development and program learning outcome assessment.
  • Significant prior business or entrepreneurship experience.
  • Two years of supervisory or faculty coaching experience.
  • Terminal degree (doctorate) in Business, Business Analytics or closely related field.

Additional Information:
  • This is a 10-Month Position.
  • Hours Per Week: 37.5
  • Work Schedule: Based on course load.
  • Compensation: Starting rank, and starting salary within rank, depending on teaching experience and other qualifications. Includes excellent medical insurance and other benefits. This position is not eligible overtime.
