Job description

The Data Analyst implements advanced data analytics and conducts advanced analytics. The Data Analyst implements procedures for document management, tracking, reporting, and presentation development, as well as data collection, cleaning, analyses, and checking/validation. The Data Analyst implements policies and procedures to maximize responsiveness to client information needs.

The Data Analyst collects, aggregates, and analyzes program and survey data. The Data Analyst recruits and maintains contact with participants, prepares and conducts data for analysis, and prepares tables and graphs for reports and presentations; retrieves documents, literature, and data for reports, memos, and presentations. This position assists with the preparation and distribution of publications which may include design, layout, and copy-editing presentations or other printed materials. The Data Analyst may also conduct qualitative data analysis of documents including, for example, grant application, budget, and intake forms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean, prepare, and validate quantitative and qualitative data for reliable analysis and reporting.

  • Support and monitor data collection including programming surveys using Qualtrics and Alchemer. Data collection activity may involve organizing and maintaining data from quantitative and qualitative sources while ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Conduct data analysis, statistical programming, and data manipulation, leveraging tools such as Excel, Python, R, and Smartsheet.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations through data analysis to provide insights into program delivery and to inform customer service efficiency.

  • Develop data visualization and infographics Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS

  • Support development of client-ready written materials (e.g., contribute to reports, prepare charts and tables, PowerPoint).

  • Monitor tasks and deliverables for contract compliance.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field from an accredited university or college.

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience comprising 2 years of focused research experience with additional experience including a combination of college labs, internships.

Skills:

  • Strong foundation in statistics and hands-on experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python

  • Experience leveraging GitHub and organizing documentation on Confluence or SharePoint

  • Strong problem solving, analysis, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Ability to write clearly and concisely with attention to detail Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with reporting analytical findings, qualitative data analysis, and working with data layers

Language:

English fluency (oral and written)

Software Proficiency:

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
