TITLE: Data Analyst 

LOCATION: Auburn Hills, Michigan 

JOB TYPE: Full-Time


JOB SUMMARY 

Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) is seeking a Data Analyst to support the organization’s reporting, analytics, and data management needs. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting data to support continuous improvement activities and strategic business initiatives. 

The Data Analyst serves as a liaison between business and IT teams by helping define reporting needs, validating data accuracy, and translating business requirements into dashboards, reports, and actionable insights. This position supports complex projects where data, reporting, and technology intersect to improve operational visibility and decision-making. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Gather and document reporting requirements from business users and subject matter experts.  
  • Analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.  
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations.  
  • Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across reporting tools and source systems.  
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through data-driven recommendations and analytics solutions.  
  • Serve as a technical resource for Power BI, reporting platforms, and data warehouse structures.  
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions.  
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working meetings.  
  • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, process flows, and dashboard specifications.  
  • Support testing and deployment activities to ensure reporting and analytics solutions meet business requirements.  
  • Define and execute data validation processes to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.  
  • Assist with data governance initiatives, business rules, standards, and reporting documentation.  
  • Support reporting structures that provide operational, financial, and strategic visibility to company leadership.  
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or related disciplines.  
  • Experience with modern Microsoft data and analytics platforms, including Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics (Azure Data Warehouse), Microsoft Fabric, OneLake (Data Lake), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Purview, PowerBI, SQL Server, and Boomi integration solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.  
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytics solutions.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
     
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functional teams.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.  
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  

PREFERRED SKILLS 

  • Strong knowledge of reporting tools, dashboard development, and data visualization techniques. 
  • Experience with data governance, business rules, and reporting standards. 
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and middleware operations. 
  • Experience supporting projects involving cross-functional business and technology teams. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
