Our client is looking Data Analyst for Long term project in Omaha, NE (Onsite) Below is the detail requirement.
Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite)
Job Description:
  • Senior Data Analyst responsible for leading reporting and analytics initiatives across operations, with a focus on scalable reporting, operational insights, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and build end-to-end reporting solutions, including dashboards, recurring reports, and ad-hoc analysis aligned with business requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, DQAS, OPCC, Technology teams) to define reporting requirements, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data models and data pipelines to support accurate and reliable reporting solutions.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, performance gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Own data quality validation processes and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting outputs.
  • Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business and leadership teams.
  • Drive reporting standardization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support incident and operational analysis through data-driven root cause investigations and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams on data sourcing, transformations, pipeline optimization, and performance improvements.

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong SQL expertise, including complex joins, query optimization, performance tuning, and data validation.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data wrangling, and automation using Python and/or R.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, and Hadoop.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data modeling concepts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, validation, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining data quality frameworks and validation methodologies.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting operational and real-time reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with railroad, logistics, transportation, or similar operational datasets.
  • Exposure to Azure data technologies, including ADF, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
