Job Title: Manager, Data Analytics

Data Analyst plays a critical role in enabling enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making by managing and advancing McKesson's data assets. This position is responsible for identifying, capturing, analyzing, and organizing data to support strategic and operational objectives. The role ensures adherence to information governance standards and leverages advanced analytics to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform key business decisions. The analyst designs and maintains relational databases, creates dashboards and reports, and implements statistical models to guide decision-making. Collaborating with governance teams, data stewards, and business stakeholders, this position drives improvements in data quality, accessibility, and usability while influencing best practices across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and advance the data fabric to organize, integrate, and deliver enterprise data assets.
  • Design, create, and maintain relational databases and data systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Implement and apply statistical models to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the management of central data stores and metadata, establishing and enforcing quality expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, including automation and procedural enhancements for data entry and validation.
  • Develop and implement techniques for data collection, accuracy, and management, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
  • Accountable for data accessibility, profiling, and reporting of quality issues, driving remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with data governance, stewards, and business systems to propose and implement solutions for data quality improvement.
  • Recommend analytics opportunities and best practices, influencing enterprise adoption of advanced analytics.
  • Ensure development of solutions that enable actionable insights, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

What We're Looking For: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant professional experience advancing data programs, including quality management, integration pipelines, and cloud data warehousing for scalable analytics.

Critical Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced capability in data modeling and database design for complex analytical systems.
  • Proficiency in data quality management programs, including accuracy, completeness, and timeliness checks.
  • Advanced capability in cloud data warehousing and performance optimization for large-scale analytics.
  • Proficiency in metadata management and lineage documentation for compliance and governance.
  • Ability to implement advanced data integration pipelines and monitor data flow reliability.
  • Competence in Business Function Knowledge, Customer & Business Driven, Problem Solving, Building Relationships, Adaptability, Digital Acumen, and Creativity.
  • Clear written and verbal communication tailored to both business and technical audiences.

Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced experience leveraging Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL to develop scalable analytical datasets, models, and reporting solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with Power BI to deliver executive-ready dashboards, KPIs, and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with business stakeholders to frame problems, identify opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting commercial, pricing, customer, product, or portfolio analytics with an understanding of how insights drive business performance and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, balancing technical execution with strategic business consultation to deliver measurable outcomes.
