Job description

A career as a Senior Financial Data Analyst in the Accounting, Consolidation and Disclosure team at National Bank means acting as a regulatory Financial Data and Decision Analytics Specialist. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organisation thanks to your business intelligence skills, your experience in analysing and modelling complex financial data, and your knowledge of regulatory standards, including IFRS 9 (Classification and impairment of Financial instruments). to support the quality of financial information, regulatory compliance and improve financial processes.

Your job

  • Accounting and presentation of expected credit losses in the general ledger on a monthly basis
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory disclosure processes.
  • Perform advanced analyses, indicators and reports that support IFRS 9 processes.
  • Ensure data quality, reconciliations between systems and handling discrepancies.
  • Ensure the use, reliability and traceability of regulatory financial data.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise, automate and improve analytical processes.
  • Support partners (Finance, risk, Capital, Information Technology) in the use and valorisation of data.

Prerequisites

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, risk management, data analytics or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience analysing financial or regulatory data.
  • Experience in business intelligence, financial analytics or data modelling
  • Proficiency in data analysis, modelling and visualisation tools
  • Be familiar with regulatory requirements and related standards, including IFRS 9.
