OVERVIEW:

Executes the procurement of National Account Vendor (NAV) procurement program for the Construction of New Stores, Remodels, and Relocations Key responsibilities and objectives include: ensuring Dick's Sporting Goods has the most competitive pricing, highest quality, establishes and maintains excellent supplier relationships, generates purchase orders, processes invoices, budget management, and interface and communication with others to ensure the final product is consistent and accurate to company standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Construction Material Procurement
Executes the National Account Vendors (NAV) procurement for House of Sport, Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy Performance Center new stores, remodels and special projects on schedule and within budgetary parameters. Generates purchase orders and revieing/processing invoices

Cost Containment
Monitor and evaluate program for competitive pricing by bidding each vendor and/or annual renegotiation in partnership with the CapEx sourcing team. Investigate value engineering opportunities. Negotiates National Account discounts. Understands the fluctuating economic conditions and commodities costs affecting the NAV package pricing.

Budget Management
Establishes project pricing for approval to Finance and Construction. Forecast and maintain budgets in partnership with the Construction team.

NAV Supplier Relations
Support the supplier relationship team and any business review meetings with NAV's to establish and maintain positive working relationships to ensure suppliers are providing competitive pricing at the best quality and working in the company's best interest. Problem solve any company/supplier issues. Encourage healthy competition. Partner with the supplier relationship team on recurring supplier scorecards and/or performance conversations. Consolidate feedback from the construction team back to suppliers on performance (both positive and constructive).

Interface and Communication
Develops a relationship and communicates regularly with the NAV's, architects and other departments (e.g. construction, development, store design & planning, visual and finance). to resolve NAV related issues and questions. Establish and maintain a support role relationship with construction department project managers, facilities managers and development managers

Support obtaining data to maintain and track NAV details in a consolidated database including pricing, specifications, drawings, installation and delivery. Ensures supplier details and specifications are current and accurate.

Interdepartmental activity (i.e. Staff Meeting, Continuous Improvement, training)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field

  • 3-5 years of experience, with Sourcing & procurement exposure, data analytics, prior project management experience, retail experience (preferred)
