Job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CMDB Dashboard Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BMC Helix CMDB, Remedy ITSM, and related modules, along with a strong understanding of ITIL processes and data analytics. This role requires expertise in dashboard creation, data analysis, and technical competencies to support CMDB governance and reporting needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather reporting requirements from CMDB, Asset Management, IT Operations, and Service Management stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot CMDB dashboards and KPI scorecards.
  • Create interactive dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive reports.
  • Develop automated reporting and scheduled distribution of dashboards.
  • Analyze large CMDB datasets to identify data quality issues such as duplicate CIs, orphaned CIs, missing attributes, and relationship inconsistencies.
  • Document dashboard designs, data sources, KPI definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Develop executive-level reporting to demonstrate CMDB maturity and business value.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix CMDB, Remedy ITSM, or related BMC Helix modules.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, Configuration Items (CIs), class hierarchy, attributes, and relationships.
  • Experience with BMC Helix Dashboards, Smart Reporting, Helix Data Manager, or equivalent reporting technologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) processes.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL concepts, and integration reporting.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, and external data sources.
  • Knowledge of CMDB governance, reconciliation, discovery, and data certification processes.
  • Preferred: BMC Helix or Remedy certification, ITIL Foundation certification, and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or enterprise analytics platforms.
