Job description

Danielle M. Campbell, PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. Compensation will be based on experience and may include performance-based bonuses.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter professional with prior experience in family law. A strong educational foundation is required, with at least a high school diploma. Because our practice centers on family law, the right candidate must be comfortable working with clients navigating highly personal and often emotional situations, and must be able to do so with professionalism, composure, and empathy.

Prospective associates will be expected to attend court and mediations, interface with clients, draft pleadings and orders, review discovery, and complete other lawyerly tasks. We litigate regularly, so if you are looking to experience the courtroom, this is an excellent opportunity. Applicants who demonstrate a litigation emphasis (either in practice or education) will be given preference, whether in mock trial, moot court, litigation clinics, or practical experience. Candidates who prefer to stay "behind the scenes" will also be considered, depending on qualifications. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and outstanding writing skills required. Rare travel to rural counties may be required for court appearances; prospective candidates will be required to have a valid driver's license and transportation. Billable targets are reasonable, achievable, and reflect our commitment to work-life balance. Available benefits include PTO, 401k (with matching), available health insurance (with employer contribution), life insurance, AD&D insurance, short term disability insurance, and bonuses. Physically, the job requires being able to lift at least 50 pounds, remain standing for up to one hour at a time, and walking one mile without stopping.

Candidates must be licensed by the State Bar of Texas and not have prior disciplinary or criminal history.  All candidates will be required to submit a professional writing sample.
