Job description

Dance Instructor

At Kids First, our mission is simple: to do great things for kids. Specifically, we exist to help kids grow into happy, healthy, responsible adults.

Queen City Dance Academy at Kids First Sports is seeking Dance Instructors who are passionate about working with children and committed to developing both skill and character through dance. This role goes beyond teaching choreography. Our instructors are responsible for creating an environment where kids feel safe, supported, challenged, and successful.
We are a principle-driven company built on our Kids First 26 Pointsโ€”our non-negotiable standard for how we teach, lead, and interact. Everything we do is rooted in creating a safe, respectful, and growth-focused environment for every child.

Our program is built on the belief that every dancerโ€™s journey should include growth, excellence, and artistic expression. QCDA has established a strong foundation by combining high-quality technique with a fun, supportive environment, helping dancers of all ages and skill levels thrive.

From a childโ€™s very first class to more advanced training, QCDA emphasizes proper technique, creativity, and confidence-building, while fostering a sense of belonging and community. We create a program where kids are not only learning to danceโ€”but are developing confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of movement.

Our program is often a studentโ€™s first experience with dance โ€”and in many cases, their first structured activity. We are looking for instructors who can bring energy, structure, and enthusiasm to every class while keeping kids actively engaged and learning. You will lead classes that are engaging, and rooted in the Kids First Teaching Principlesโ€”balancing daily success and daily challenges, while keeping kids in purposeful motion.

Part time positions available. Must have Saturday and evening availability.

We are Looking For:

  • A genuine love for working with kids
  • High energy and enthusiasm (kids will match your energy)
  • Reliability and strong personal responsibility
  • A positive, team-first mindset
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and accept feedback
  • Clear, respectful, and forthright communication with both dancers and parents

Benefits
Part time benefits include tuition discounts
