We seek educators who are passionate about inspiring scholars to discover the power of their bodies and minds through dance and physical activity.

Position Overview

We are hiring a full-time Dance Teacher to lead our innovative movement program. This unique position blends dance instruction with a physical education curriculum, creating an integrated approach to scholar wellness, creativity, and fitness. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop technical dance skills, build physical literacy, and promote lifelong healthy habits. This role offers the opportunity to inspire scholars through movement while fostering confidence, discipline, and joy in an inclusive, supportive environment.

Required: Bachelors Degree

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach age-appropriate dance curriculum across multiple grade levels, including ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and other styles.
  • Create integrated movement units that connect dance and physical education to other subject areas (music, history, social-emotional learning)
  • Assess student progress in both dance technique and physical fitness using varied assessment methods
  • Establish a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all scholars feel safe to take creative risks
  • Manage classroom materials, equipment, and facilities responsibly and safely
  • Communicate regularly with families about scholar progress and encourage participation in movement activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate movement and wellness themes across the curriculum
