Gilbane is seeking a SCA Transcriptionist that will serve as the School Construction Authority's on-site key administrative resource, providing comprehensive clerical and organizational support to first-level management and senior clerical staff, ensuring smooth day-tp-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support assigned construction management projects by attending job progress meetings and serving as a key administrative resource to project teams.
  • Record, prepare, and distribute meeting minutes for project progress meetings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Enter and maintain meeting records and project documentation within designated project management systems, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Travel between project sites as needed, approximately two to three times per week, while maintaining regular communication and coordination with the central office.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all project meeting documentation and related administrative materials.
  • Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to accurately capture and organize information in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit excellent listening, communication, and organizational skills while maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance in all work settings.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to support travel between project sites.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred and considered a significant advantage.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time clerical, accounting, reproduction, administrative, or related office support experience.

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For New York City, this ranges from $100,000.00-$130,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
