Drop And Count Staff

Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel Position Description

Department: Finance

Grade/FLSA Status: H9 Non-Exempt

Badge Type/Color: KeyBlue

Reports To: Drop & Count Supervisor

Supervises: NA

Job Summary:

Drop slot machines, sort, count, and record the contents of slot and table game drop boxes, according to set procedures and internal Controls. Drop and Count of other cashiering functions such as NRT machines

Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
  • Perform daily slot machine drops
  • Perform daily Table Count
  • Process currency, ticket and coupon count for each machine included in the daily drop as prescribed by the Internal Controls
  • Process currency and paperwork for each table game included in the daily drop as prescribed by the Internal Controls
  • Maintain the count room, clean and organize for daily drop processing
  • Responsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the G and D Count machine and other count equipment
  • Responsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the Mule including the daily charging of the unit
  • Perform additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to the NRT Drop and Count
  • Able to work in environment requiring strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to answer questions about Harrah's facilities, services, promotions, and events
  • Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies/ procedures in an ethical manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Six months money handling experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Basic mechanical (repair) ability helpful
  • Must possess proven mathematical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to learn and to be adaptable
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:

Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino
  • Must be able to lift or carry upwards up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, personal computers, fax machine and photo copier
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
