McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a General Laborer for our facility in Delray Beach, FL. If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right, we'd like to hear from you.
Schedule
Day Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Mid Shift: 11:00 AM-7:30 PM
Team members may rotate between shifts based on operational needs and seasonality
Overtime opportunities are available during peak production seasons
Occasional weekends may be required based on business needs

The Role
As a General Laborer, you'll play an important role in supporting mulch, soil, and compost production operations. You'll assist with material handling, site cleanup, bagging operations, palletizing, and supporting equipment operators and production teams throughout the facility.
This is a physically active position where reliability, teamwork, safety, and a strong work ethic are critical to success.
Every day, your efforts help create products that support landscaping, agriculture, and healthier communities.
What You'll Do
Perform general labor and site cleanup duties
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility
Support bagging, palletizing, and production operations
Assist Heavy Equipment Operators and Maintenance Technicians as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Assist with inspections and routine operational tasks
Work safely around trucks, machinery, and heavy equipment
Help meet production goals while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, landscaping, construction, or industrial environments preferred
Ability to perform physical, hands-on work throughout the shift
Willingness to work outdoors and in non-climate-controlled conditions
Reliable transportation to the Delray Beach facility
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and climbing
Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed
Ability to work around dust, dirt, mud, noise, moving equipment, and strong odors
Ability to wear required PPE and respiratory protection when necessary
