Job description

SUMMARY:
Daicel Arbor Biosciences has a current opening for a Lab Technician to support production and services of our primary genomics product lines. The successful candidate will deliver applied cutting-edge tools to the Life Science community and work as part of a dynamic and fast-growing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Responsibilities
  • Use molecular biology tools such as PCR, reverse transcription, and DNA/RNA purification, while adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Prepare buffer and stock reagents for kits
  • Aliquot reagents, assemble custom pools and label tubes and boxes for shipping
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records
  • Work with managers and colleagues to ensure on-time delivery
Service Responsibilities
  • Document receipt and status upon delivery of client samples
  • Evaluate quantity and quality of DNA and RNA samples
  • Perform purification of DNA and RNA samples with standard molecular biology techniques
  • Diligent notetaking of steps performed and results generated
  • Organize and record long-term sample storage
  • Prepare client samples for return shipment
QUALIFICATIONS amp; EXPERIENCE:
  • Eagerness to learn, progress, and develop
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented and strong verbal and writing skills for recording results
  • Able to work independently within a guided environment
  • 1+ years of laboratory work in molecular biology or genomics
  • Direct work experience in genomics manufacturing and/or quality control of life science products
  • Excellence in performing standard laboratory procedures and calculations
  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology, or biotechnology
