We are excited to add a skilled Senior Industry Consultant - Construction to our team.
SIS currently has a significant pipeline of new business. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide functional support and training services on customer projects and be the liaison between the customer and the technical team during the entire duration of the project execution. The opportunity for individual and professional growth at SIS for selected candidates is excellent.
Key Responsibilities:
Industry Consulting & Strategy
  • Lead SIS's strategic goals with an industry-focused approach.
  • Monitor and analyze market demands to capitalize on opportunities for SIS in the construction industry.
  • Participate as an Industry and Solutions Architect in project delivery.
  • Enhance SIS's process inventory, ensuring alignment with market trends.
  • Conduct quality assurance on implementation projects to meet industry-specific standards.

Product Development
  • Develop and improve SIS's Intellectual Property (IP) offerings and product roadmap.
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities in alignment with market and client needs.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to plan and execute product builds.
  • Research market trends and user needs to refine SIS's construction-focused solutions continuously.

Industry Training & Mentorship
  • Align industry training programs with SIS's strategic goals and business objectives.
  • Oversee skill management programs, delivering industry-specific training to staff.
  • Mentor team members in construction industry processes and best practices.

Process Mapping & Consulting
  • Map and optimize construction industry processes, including:
    • Billing, Estimating, Bidding, and Budgeting
    • Equipment & Labor management
    • Time & Materials, Revenue Recognition, Scheduling & Forecasting
    • Regulatory compliance (OCIP, Certified Payroll, Prevailing Wages, Unions, Safety)
    • Financial reporting and month-end closing
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of project management and job costing within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in operational and financial processes specific to construction.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Ability to handle complex engagements, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in senior finance or operational roles.
  • Proven experience managing ERP implementations and working with AX 2012/D365FO.
  • Background working with medium to large organizations within the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft D365 and experience with systems implementation is a plus.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Industry-related certifications are desirable.
