Job description

D365 F&O Developer
Location: MN or Remote (with occasional travel to MN)
Job Expectations:
  • Map data from Navision and other custom applications to D365
  • Understand the data entities in D365 well enough to be able to create the right mapping and related transformations
  • Look at data model (likely SQL Database) or other information from other applications and work with SME's to identify what data should be moved and what should be left in existing application
  • Create data mapping specifications and identify any and all transformations needed from source to target entities in D365
  • Be able to complete data migration and related validations
  • Run/perform mock data migration ahead of production migration activities
  • Work with Architects and Business as needed for data validation
  • Complete data migration in production as part of deployment activities

Below are the key skills and experience to look for:
  • D365 F&O Data Entities knowledge
  • Background in Finance and Projects core data
  • Data mapping across ERP platforms for Financials, Customer/Vendor Information, Orders and Projects
  • Best if person has done data mapping between Navision and D365
  • Or data mapping in other versions of Microsoft platform
  • Data mapping from non-ERP applications to D365 or Navision or AX
  • Familiarity with database mapping and data transformation & experience as BA or technical/DBA person doing the full scope of work
  • Data migration tools for D365 (e.g. KingswaySoft, import/export process)
  • If the person has reporting and dashboard experience for D365 and familiarity with entities to map for reporting, that would be nice, as the data mapped and migrated would likely need to be setup in reports/dashboards for users.
