The Wave Associate plays a key role in keeping Distribution Center operations running smoothly by allocating orders, monitoring workflows, and supporting daily productivity and quality goals. This role ensures accuracy through cycle counts, maintains organized work areas, and adapts to the needs of different departments as business demands shift. Success comes from strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork across all operational tasks.

A day in the life of a Wave Associate...

  • Allocates orders in local delivery, parcel, stores, and intercompany to maintain continued business operations
  • Assists the wave planner in monitoring and controlling the workflow by releasing orders from the warehouse management system to the Distribution Center associates
  • Engages management and operational leadership to assist in maintaining service levels, quality expectations and productivity
  • Performs cycle counts as necessary, to maintain accuracy of inventory
  • Maintains cleanliness and order of work areas
  • Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
  • Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
  • Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
