Job description

Role: Warehouse Associate

Employment: 4 month contract to hire

Location: Central Point, OR

Pay: 19/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Warehouse Associate Level 1 to join a supportive, growth-oriented team. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals eager to build a long-term career in logistics and warehousing within the aviation industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receiving, preserving, stocking, and picking of parts in support of MRO, Aircraft Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

This role requires a positive attitude, a willingness to accept constructive critique, and the ability to work under close supervision while developing specialized skills. You will operate various warehouse equipment and help maintain our rigorous safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Perform picking of aircraft parts and supplies using FIFO principles to support various departments.
  • Receiving & Stocking: Receive inbound aircraft parts, validate inventory, stock items accurately in warehouse locations, and process all necessary paperwork.
  • Preservation & Packaging: Protect parts from corrosion or damage by utilizing labeling, packaging, sealing machines, and foam machines.
  • Inventory Control: Perform regular and accurate Cycle Counts of parts in a timely manner.
  • Material Handling & Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment including parts-pickers (up to 25’ height), forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, trailers, and ladders.
  • Crate Management: Manufacture crates for safe storage and shipping, and perform crate maintenance as necessary.
  • Transportation: Safely pick up and deliver aircraft parts and supplies between various facilities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean work area free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD), perform safety audits, and strictly adhere to AS9100/AS9110 and ISO9001 standards.
  • Administration: Ensure all LMS training stays current and support customer needs as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0–3 years of experience is common. Prior experience in Warehousing Operations, Inventory Control, and operating vehicles/equipment (forklifts, parts pickers, pallet jacks) is highly preferred.
  • Driving & Security: Must possess a valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must have the ability to obtain a passport, a Medical card (for driving company vehicles), and an Airport Security badge.
  • Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, alongside a basic knowledge of computers, email, and data entry.
