Position TitleCytology Prep TechJob Description

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for processing and staining specimens received in the cytology department. Responsible for assisting in FNA procedures when required in different areas of the hospital. Responsible to comply with and enforce all safety and infection control policies, procedures, and regulations.

Education:

High school diploma is preferred.

Experience:

Two years of experience in healthcare/medical - cytotechnology is preferred.

Two years of specimen handling experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.
