Job description

Cycle Counter
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Cycle Counter for a company based in Southwest Houston, Texas.  The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and by investigating inventory discrepancies. This position plays a key role in ensuring material integrity by verifying stock levels, proper storage, and transaction accuracy within the warehouse.
 
Pay Rate 
$16.00 an hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm  
 
Cycle Counter Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform daily scheduled cycle counts and verify inventory accuracy
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies thoroughly
• Analyze on-hand inventory and review current/past inventory activity
• Ensure all materials are properly stored and labeled in designated locations
• Break down pallets and boxes when required to access or reorganize inventory
• Operate warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards
• Assist with receiving, transfers, and issue processing to maintain inventory accuracy
 
Cycle Counter Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Proven experience with cycle counting and inventory control
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Basic computer proficiency (data entry, inventory systems, and reporting)
• Working knowledge of flanges, fittings, and pipe strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies

• Knowledge of carbon flanges and fittings is a plus
• Experience with valves, fittings, and pipe systems.
