Cybersecurity Systems Engineer III – Secure Cloud & Compliance Support
Location: Maryland (On-site)
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Certification Required: IAM Level III (DoD 8570 Compliant)
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ in Computer Science or a related field

Position Summary:
Quevera is seeking a future highly motivated Cybersecurity Systems Engineer III to support enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives within a secure DoD cloud environment. This is a critical role for a security-focused professional who excels in documentation, collaboration, and cybersecurity compliance. You’ll work alongside technical teams, project managers, and government stakeholders to ensure cloud security and operational effectiveness across multiple systems and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create white papers and technical recommendations addressing common cybersecurity challenges, including workarounds for known issues
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, such as user manuals, training materials, system specifications, and formal reports
  • Translate technical cybersecurity information into clear, concise content for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and technical writers to build and manage secure internal webpages, FAQs, and knowledge-sharing platforms
  • Work with the PMO and support staff to create webpages focused on secure cloud capabilities across multiple commercial vendors
  • Design workflows to support customer engagement, including routing inquiries, developing feedback mechanisms, and compiling actionable reports for government prioritization
  • Support cybersecurity compliance and risk mitigation strategies aligned with DoD regulations and enterprise security goals
  • Ensure all written content and technical deliverables follow appropriate DoD security guidelines and terminology
  • Operate effectively within enterprise-scale IT environments supporting sensitive government systems

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or one additional year of experience in lieu of degree)
  • IAM Level III certification (DoD 8570 Compliant)
  • 10+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years in a Computer Science or related discipline
  • Strong background in cybersecurity compliance, technical documentation, and cloud support environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly communicate technical information
  • Experience working in complex, enterprise-wide IT infrastructures
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security frameworks
