The Senior Principal Cybersecurity Specialist will lead Medtronic's Security Culture function, driving enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness, communications, and engagement programs. This role focuses on reducing human-related cyber risk through education, behavior change, and strategic program leadership.   • Lead the Security Culture function, setting the strategic direction for enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness, communications, and engagement programs across Medtronic.

  • Establish and advance the long-term vision, maturity roadmap, and operating model for Security Culture, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk and business priorities.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, performance management, and capability building.

  • Drive measurable reduction in human-related cyber risk through role-based awareness, learning, behavior-change strategies, and employee engagement.

  • Identify opportunities to scale and modernize programs through automation, digital platforms, analytics, and innovative engagement methods.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of cybersecurity specialists, ensuring strong execution, clear priorities, and alignment to enterprise strategy.

  • Bring deep cybersecurity and program leadership experience, including success leading large, cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders, and building enterprise-wide awareness and behavior-change programs in complex environments.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree

  • Experience in leadership - has led a team before

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience leading or maturing enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness, engagement, or culture programs in a large, matrixed organization.

  • Prior leadership experience in a highly regulated industry, such as healthcare, med tech, financial services, or manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives through influence, especially in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Proven success in developing and operationalizing program metrics, dashboards, and maturity measures that demonstrate business and behavioral impact.

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership, communications, HR, and business stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide behavior change and engagement initiatives.

  • Strong background in organizational change management, employee engagement, and culture transformation, including helping teams adapt to new priorities and ways of working.

  • Familiarity with cyber learning principles, instructional design, or enterprise learning platforms to support scalable awareness and education programs.

  • Experience scaling programs through automation, digital collaboration tools, analytics, or innovative engagement models.

  • Proven ability to lead global initiatives and build ambassador, champion, or grassroots engagement networks across regions, sites, and business units.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

PR) locations (USD):$170,400.00 - $255,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
