What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Documented expertise in conducting POCs utilizing emerging technologies across several domains, Identity, Network, Data, App, and more

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 5-7 years driving thought leadership and innovation across products required
  • Relevant certifications and/or licenses required

About the role:

The Senior Principal Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for assessing risk and developing and delivering a comprehensive Cybersecurity program for General Motors Financial. As a Senior Principal, you will be at the forefront of systems architecture design and implementation including applications, data and emerging technology domains. A successful Senior Principal can translate business and technical requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large, complex IT solutions. This position requires a leader who can identify current and future risks, works well with others and performs in challenging situations, and is pragmatic and motivated by long-term results while addressing short-term needs

In this role, you will: 

  • Enable the business in its strategic initiatives by consistently applying the appropriate level of security controls, ensuring alignment with Cybersecurity Guiding Principles
  • Create security requirements for applications, solutions, networks, data warehouses, data analytics, automation, cloud environments, borderless networks, and initiatives that optimize resource usage based on a thorough understanding of security and operational risks
  • Participate in requirements gathering, develop technical architecture, validate and integrate technical designs as blueprints for secure application, network, and product development that support business intelligence
  • Adapt and refine existing frameworks to enhance the maturity and optimization of security controls and services or suggest alternatives to bolster security effectiveness
  • Engage in complex problem resolution throughout the SDLC, including supervisory roles in build processes, test automation, and system monitoring undertaken by cybersecurity business partners
  • Supervise cybersecurity testing initiatives, including the design of processes and standards, effort estimation, resource forecasting, and risk management
