IT PROGRAM MANAGER 4 What You Will Do The Program Office for the ERP Modernization initiative is seeking an expert-levelIT Project Manager 4to support a major enterprise transformation effort impacting core business capabilities across the Laboratory, including finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain, data, integrations, and related IT services. The ERP Modernization Program Office serves as the central hub for coordinating planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of this enterprise transformation. This position will support the IT workstream with a focus on the technical aspects of ERP implementation, includingSAP S/4HANA, integrations, data platforms,Databricks,SAP Business Data Cloud, application interfaces, infrastructure dependencies, and technical readiness.

As an IT Project Manager 4, you will provide project management leadership across the full project lifecycle using established project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. You will coordinate activities across internal IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, system integrators, the PMO, and Organizational Change Management teams to ensure technical work is aligned, tracked, communicated, and delivered successfully. The successful candidate will be a proactive, highly organized self-starter with the technical acumen to understand complex ERP, data, and integration workstreams; independently track down information; drive accountability; and ensure ERP-related IT activities are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include: Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities for ERP Modernization IT workstream projects. Manage project activities related to ERP technical scope, including SAP S/4HANA, data platforms, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, integrations, interfaces, infrastructure, environments, testing coordination, and technical readiness. Develop and maintain project plans, work packages, schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports.

Coordinate work across IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, system integrators, PMO, OCM, and ERP program leadership. Track vendor and integrator deliverables, coordinate dependencies, and support review and acceptance of project work products. Identify, track, and resolve risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items that could impact delivery.

Conduct project meetings and working sessions; document outcomes and ensure follow-through. Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, procurement, communications, and stakeholder expectations. Translate complex technical information into clear project status, risks, actions, and decisions for technical and non-technical audiences.

Ensure adherence to Laboratory policies, regulatory requirements, IT governance, cybersecurity expectations, and quality standards. Recommend improvements to project management practices, reporting, and delivery processes. Safety and security are a primary responsibility for all Laboratory employees.

This role is expected to maintain required safety and security training and make safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security. What You Need Minimum Job Requirements Expert IT Project Management Experience Expert experience managing complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closeout. Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables, and change control.

ERP, SAP, Data, and Integration Experience Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale ERP implementation or modernization efforts, preferably involvingSAP S/4HANA. Experience managing technical workstreams related to data platforms, integrations, interfaces, APIs, reporting, application dependencies, cloud platforms,Databricks, orSAP Business Data Cloud. Technical Acumen Expert knowledge of IT environments, including system architectures, application development methodologies, infrastructure dependencies, operating systems, client-server principles, integration patterns, database concepts, and data-related project considerations.

Cross-Functional Coordination Proven ability to coordinate activities across IT, Finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, cybersecurity, vendors, system integrators, PMO, OCM, and other stakeholders to achieve program objectives. Vendor, Integrator, and Contract Coordination Experience working with vendors and system integrators, tracking third-party deliverables, coordinating technical dependencies, supporting procurement and contracting needs, and ensuring vendor work aligns with project scope and schedule. Project Planning and Execution Proven ability to develop project plans, work packages, schedules, milestones, deliverables, reports, and project artifacts.

Demonstrated ability to organize work, monitor progress, drive accountability, and lead teams to completion. Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management Experience identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, tracking issues and dependencies, escalating concerns appropriately, and recommending corrective actions or risk acceptance/avoidance strategies. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.

Proven ability to build effective relationships with customers, technical teams, suppliers, leadership, and stakeholders. Ability to translate technical and project management concepts into clear language for technical and non-technical audiences. Independent Problem Solving Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction, resolve ambiguity, track down information, follow through on commitments, and drive complex work to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience Position requires aBachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications Project Management Professional certification. Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Scrum Master certification.

Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or modernization projects. Experience with Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, ERP data conversion, analytics, reporting, integrations, or technical architecture workstreams. Experience working in a Program Management Office or supporting PMO governance, reporting, and executive-level status updates.

Experience coordinating with Organizational Change Management teams on stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and readiness activities. Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs involving Finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, or other core business functions. Experience in a highly regulated environment.

Strong understanding of federal procurement, financial management, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements. Active DOE "Q" clearance or ability to obtain one. Additional Information This position will support the ERP Modernization Program Office and the IT workstream, with regular interaction across Information & Technology, business organizations, senior leadership, vendors, system integrators, PMO, and OCM.
