Role PTC V&V Engineer
Work location PA
Rates as follows: $ 55 hr/AI
Background Check: MANDATORY
?PTC (Positive Train Control) V&V Engineer: 7+ years exp. in V&V for Railway PTC (Positive Train Control) systems
Technical:
• Prior Railroad industry experience and/or any PTC experience required
• Experience on Train Control PTC products such as Locomotive Onboard system, CAD, Back Office server,
• Experience in analysis & triaging of the production issues related to PTC Train Operations
• Experience on testing and analysis of fields issues related to PTC communication systems e.g. MCM/BCM(Mobile Communication manager/Base Communication manager), OCM(Office communication
manager) etc.
• Knowledge of railroad and transit systems operations, engineering principles and concepts, procedures and railroad operating rules
• Experience in Lab testing and Field Testing of PTC products
• Exposed to various communication protocols standards i.e. Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP and EMP, ClassD IP protocols
• Have integration testing experience preferably on railway PTC products
• Able to understand system requirements and create test cases for integration between CAD/BOS/OB
• Have experience in any test automation and test management tool and be able to automate the test cases
• Good to have experience in any scripting languages such as Jscript, Perl, Python etc.
• Have good defect finding and debugging skills with understanding of defect life cycle
• Good to have Linux OS working knowledge
• Good to have understanding of applicable Railway safety and integration/system testing standards
