Job description

As a Cyber Identity & Access Management Manager, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs by applying a collection of information and cybersecurity capabilities, including planning, directing, and designing and implementing identity and access management solutions; developing and supervising other Grant Thornton engagement staff; and assisting in assigned client management and practice development activities.- all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you'll be empowered by the greater Cyber & Risk team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Conduct IAM current-state assessments, maturity evaluations, and identity architecture reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and modernization priorities.
  • Develop functional and non-functional requirements for Entra ID solutions.
  • Develop IAM strategies, transformation roadmaps, and implementation recommendations aligned to business and security objectives.
  • Design and implement technical architecture for Entra ID, including integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and execute identity modernization strategies, including migration from legacy IAM platforms and hybrid identity architectures to Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Configure and integrate Entra ID with various systems using Extensible Connectivity Management Agent (ECMA), API-driven provisioning, and Entra Application Proxy.
  • Design and implement security measures, including Zero Trust architecture and Conditional Access policies.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to collect requirements and provide guidance.
  • Document all aspects of the solution, including technical designs, business processes, and transition plans.
  • Communicate and collaborate externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence.
  • Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and manage client relationships with the intention to exceed client expectations.
  • Lead project teams, mentor junior consultants, and oversee delivery quality across multiple engagements.
  • Manage project financials, staffing, work plans, and client expectations.
  • Support business development efforts, proposal development, and practice growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, program sponsors, and executive leadership.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Participate in professional development activities and training sessions on regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required
  • 5+ years of related cybersecurity experience in a similar consulting practice or function.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required
  • One relevant certification required, such as CISSP, CISM, SC-300, SC-100, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-400, or equivalent cybersecurity and identity certifications.
  • Microsoft Entra ID Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) features and functionalities.
    • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, role management, access control, lifecycle workflows, entitlement management, access reviews, and identity governance capabilities.
    • Experience with identity governance concepts including access certifications, role management, joiner/mover/leaver processes, and segregation of duties.
    • Experience with IGA solutions such as SailPoint, Saviynt, or Microsoft Identity Governance is preferred.
  • Integration and Configuration:
    • Proficiency in integrating Microsoft Entra ID with various systems, including on-premises applications using ECMA and Entra Application Proxy.
    • Experience with API-driven provisioning and integration with systems 
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles and device security.
    • Experience designing and implementing Conditional Access policies, Identity Protection, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), authentication modernization, and Zero Trust identity controls.
    • Experience with privileged access management (PAM) and Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
    • Understanding of privileged access controls, least privilege principles, and administrative role governance.
    • Experience supporting Zero Trust initiatives and identity-centric security transformation programs.
  • Solution Design and Architecture:
    • Ability to outline technical architecture for Entra ID solutions, including integration with existing systems.
    • Experience designing identity governance processes, access management workflows, and operational procedures that improve security and user experience.
    • Experience supporting hybrid identity architectures, directory synchronization, cloud identity transformation, and Entra ID modernization initiatives.
  • Identity Architecture Assessment and Transformation Planning:
    • Skills in assessing application portfolios, identifying dependencies, and documenting current state architecture.
    • Experience in developing transition strategies, including milestones and detailed timelines.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Experience with practice development and client pursuit activities.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate IAM strategy, risks, and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong professional verbal and written skills.
  • Can travel as needed

The base salary range for this position is between $161,920 and $202,400. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
