Job description

The Alaska Municipal League (AML) strengthens Alaska’s local governments through advocacy, shared services, technical assistance, training, and collaboration. The Cybersecurity Program Manager will lead AML’s Strengthening Alaska’s Municipal Utility Cybersecurity Systems project while developing and delivering a broader cybersecurity shared service for municipalities, boroughs, utilities, and other local-government entities across Alaska.

The position has two complementary functions: successfully implement grant-funded cybersecurity projects, including the municipal utility cohort, and build flexible, sustainable services that respond to the wider cybersecurity needs of AML members. Grant-funded work will provide an initial platform for service development, but the position is not limited to a single grant, utility type, or project cohort. The Program Manager will coordinate qualified technical specialists, translate cybersecurity risks into practical action, protect sensitive information, and help local governments sustain improvements over time.

Anchorage or Juneau preferred; hybrid work may be available.

See attached Position Description for full details.

AML is an equal opportunity employer.
