RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI Cybersecurity Architect in Cottonwood Heights, UT.
Summary:
The organization is experiencing significant growth in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), and Machine Learning technologies across multiple business functions. As AI initiatives continue to accelerate, the need for structured security reviews, governance controls, and risk management practices has become increasingly critical.
This Cybersecurity Architect will serve as a trusted advisor to business, technology, and data teams by establishing governance processes, conducting AI solution assessments, and ensuring appropriate cybersecurity oversight before AI technologies are introduced into production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish AI governance processes and security review frameworks for emerging AI and GenAI initiatives
* Create approval, risk review, and assessment procedures before AI solutions move into production environments
* Evaluate AI agents, autonomous workflows, and third-party AI platforms for security, privacy, compliance, and operational risks
* Conduct architecture reviews focused on AI trust boundaries, model security, data usage, access controls, and agent behavior
* Develop controls to prevent AI systems from exceeding intended permissions or operating outside approved boundaries
* Partner with Data & Analytics, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to enable secure AI innovation
* Build scalable governance models that support rapid AI adoption without introducing unacceptable business risk
* Create AI vendor evaluation criteria, security questionnaires, and risk assessment methodologies
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience establishing or supporting AI Governance, Responsible AI, or AI Risk Management programs
* Demonstrated experience evaluating AI, GenAI, LLM, or Machine Learning platforms from a cybersecurity perspective
* Experience reviewing AI architectures, AI agents, autonomous systems, or machine learning solutions before production deployment
* Experience balancing innovation and risk management in rapidly evolving technology environments
* Understanding of emerging risks associated with: Large Language Models (LLMs); AI Agents; Autonomous Workflows; RAG Architectures; Prompt Injection; Model Security; Data Leakage; Third-Party AI Services
Preferred Qualifications:
* AI Governance Lead experience
* AI Security Architect experience
* Experience implementing the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF)
* Responsible AI program experience
* Experience assessing commercial AI vendors and GenAI platforms
* Experience reviewing AI agent frameworks and autonomous systems
* Knowledge of emerging AI regulatory and compliance requirements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
