Job Summary:
GIGATEC Engineering is seeking a Data Engineer to orchestrate complex operational data flows. The role involves managing data storage, transport, security, and compliance, as well as performing exploratory data analysis on raw data.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข orchestrate complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management
โ€ข working with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform and convert the raw data into the required formats
โ€ข devising methods to tame messy raw inputs
โ€ข improve the reliability, compliance, and movement of mission-critical data across systems
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Top Secret clearance
โ€ข favorable completion of a polygraph
โ€ข authorized to work in the U.S.
โ€ข Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
โ€ข Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
โ€ข Experience designing and implementing Java solutions
โ€ข Experience with Apache NiFi system administration
โ€ข Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
โ€ข Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
โ€ข Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Corporate data flow processes and tools
โ€ข Experience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Perl scripts and applications
