Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Project Manager / Agile Scrum Master to support our customer onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Cyber Project Manager / Agile Scrum Master needs to be able to lead complex cybersecurity, infrastructure, and missionsupport programs within a highsecurity environment projects. This role oversees multidisciplinary technical teams, manages full project lifecycles, drives Agile delivery, and ensures alignment with federal cybersecurity frameworks, Intelligence Community (IC) directives, and organizational strategic objectives. The PM/Scrum Master is responsible for planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across multiple concurrent cyber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead endtoend delivery of cyber, cloud, and security modernization projects within classified environments.
  • Develop project charters, integrated master schedules, resource plans, and performance metrics.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance for multiple highvisibility technical programs.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional teams including cybersecurity engineers, analysts, developers, and mission partners.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, and IC cybersecurity standards.

 Agile Scrum Master Duties

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices, velocity management, and continuous delivery.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain prioritized backlogs aligned with mission requirements.
  • Remove impediments and optimize team performance across multiple Agile teams.

 Cybersecurity & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee implementation of cybersecurity controls, secure architectures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support ATO/ATT&CK alignment, vulnerability management, and cyber compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with ISSOs, system owners, and security engineering teams to ensure secure project execution.
  • Review technical documentation, system designs, and engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.

 Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as primary liaison between leadership, mission customers, and technical teams.
  • Deliver executivelevel briefings, status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Manage expectations, negotiate priorities, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Risk, Quality, and Performance Management

  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and mission requirements
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 8 years experience in project/program management within cybersecurity, IT, or intelligence environments with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; will consider an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a BS/BA degree.
  • Requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Requires a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification
  • Requires a Security+ CE 
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams and managing complex technical programs.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST RMF, CSF, CNSSI 1253, DoD 8140/8570).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on mission outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple highpriority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working with classified systems, secure networks, and IC mission partners.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and other PM/Agile tools.

  • CASP+, CISSP, or CISM -for senior cyber oversight
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 Foundation
  • AWS/Azure Cloud Practitioner or Architectlevel certifications

  • Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
