Job description

Avint is seeking a dynamic and innovative Cybersecurity Solutions Architect (CSA) to join our Growth team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that address the evolving needs of our clients. This is a critical position that combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of the Federal Government procurement process to drive Avint's growth in the cybersecurity market. You will be working for a fast-paced, innovative cybersecurity company. Working for the Chief Growth Officer you will be filling a highly visible position. In this position you will be expected to provide thought leadership in developing technical approaches and methodologies to meet
customer requirements. A critical component of this position is the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate a technical approach and methodology for use in proposals and client engagements. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven background designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions that align with federal compliance and operational requirements. This role has two primary growth focus areas:
1. Avint Services Growth: Solutions Development, Proposal Development, Pipeline Development
2. Avint Tools Growth: Advance and lead the Go-to-Market strategy for new tools Avint is bringing to market. Collaborate closely with our Chief Technology Officer.
Note: The ability to connect and establish direct customer engagement is a key function of both focus areas. Estimated start date of January-February 2026
Position Responsibilities
Solution Development:
  • Lead the development of comprehensive cybersecurity solutions in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and architect scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that align with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and align with Avint's strategic goals.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive cybersecurity architectures and strategies that align with federal standards and mission requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance across all phases of cybersecurity solution development, from concept to deployment.
  • Maintain awareness of upcoming regulations (CMMC, C-SCRM, SSDF) that impact/improve Avint's ability to win contracts.

Pre-Sales Engineering and Pipeline Development:
  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and customer meetings.
  • Work with Avint's Chief Growth Officer in building Avint's pipeline and prioritizing top opportunities.
  • Identify client needs and pain points to tailor solutions that address their specific cybersecurity challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their cybersecurity goals and influence their decision-making process.
  • Engage directly with government stakeholders to translate mission needs into actionable technical solutions.

Proposal Development:
  • Serve as a key contributor to proposal efforts, including writing technical sections, creating solution diagrams, and developing cost estimates.
  • Work closely with the proposal team to ensure that all technical content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with the overall proposal strategy.
  • Support proposal and capture activities by contributing to the technical writing and solution design for cybersecurity projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including engineering, compliance, and program management-to ensure integrated, compliant, and sustainable solutions.
  • Stay informed of emerging cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and federal directives to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation.

Go to Market Plan for AREA (Avint's premier tool) - Anticipate time being split 50/50 between the CSA activities listed and bringing AREA to market. Time allocation would vary depending on priorities and timing of RFQ releases.
  • Build and Execute Against Marketing Plan
  • Engaging with and presenting to CISOs
  • Identify the top Industry Events/Summits/Expos for AREA to be presented. Look for opportunities to be a featured speaker (best option) and/or exhibitor (secondary option).

Marketing and Thought Leadership:
  • Promote Avint's cybersecurity capabilities by participating in industry events, conferences, and webinars.
  • Develop thought leadership content, such as white papers, blog posts, and case studies, to showcase Avint's expertise and solutions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to continuously enhance Avint's cybersecurity offerings.
  • Proactively sells Avint's brand and core service offerings; always exemplifies Avint's core values; promotes culture, ultimately responsible for achieving Avint's growth goals across multiple market segments / capability areas

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, Delivery, Innovation and Growth, to ensure alignment on solution strategy and delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Direct customer engagement on services and tools Avint offers.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, oral and written; leads multi-disciplinary working sessions to solicit highly complex ideas and develop innovative solutions; promotes collaboration across functional teams; develops and presents highly professional presentations, complex ideas, solutions and innovations to current and prospective clients, partners, and executive leadership.

Technical Areas of Expertise:
  • Cybersecurity architecture and framework development (NIST, RMF, Zero Trust, etc.)
  • System security engineering and risk assessment
  • Cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, or other FedRAMP environments)
  • Network defense, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) design and implementation
  • Incident response planning and cybersecurity operations support
  • Secure systems integration and data protection methodologies
  • Experience supporting proposal development for cybersecurity contracts
  • Familiarity with federal agency cybersecurity requirements (DoD and DHS familiarity is a plus)

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred). Years of experience and cybersecurity certifications can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives in the government sector.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity proposal development, technical writing, and client solution presentations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS/Azure Security certifications highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
