KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

Security Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) tools for threats targeting technology solutions
  • Investigate and respond to security alerts, events, incidents
  • Assist with root cause analysis on security events and help coordinate remediation with Legal, IT, Operations, and third-party vendors
  • Help maintain and update incident response playbooks for logistics disruption scenarios

Vulnerability Management & Risk Assessment

  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments across the company and share findings with the appropriate teams for remediation within defined SLAs
  • Prioritize and track remediation of vulnerabilities
  • Conduct risk assessments for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and technology vendors

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Support compliance with CTPAT, DFARS, and ITAR
  • Help respond to security questionnaires and compliance questions
  • Assist with security audits and maintain documentation for security controls
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting data privacy

Security Architecture & Engineering

  • Help implement security controls for cloud-based logistics SaaS platforms
  • Assist product and development teams with secure development practices
  • Help review and harden configurations across cloud, SaaS, and endpoint devices
  • Participate in security reviews for new technology acquisitions and integrations

Security Awareness & Training

  • Help deliver security awareness training to employees
  • Assist with phishing simulations and social engineering awareness programs

General

  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be based in the Chicago area and will be hybrid, with required in office presence at our Schaumburg location 2-3 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of SIEM platforms
  • Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools
  • Basic understanding of network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles
  • Familiarity with application security, API security, and secure file transfer protocols
  • Familiarity with common identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Entra ID)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (VMs, PaaS, containers)
  • Interest in securing mobile workforces and device management (e.g., Microsoft Intune)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Some exposure to IT or security through internships, coursework, or personal projects (professional experience not required)

Preferred:

  • Exposure to the logistics, transportation, supply chain, or manufacturing industries
  • Internships, lab work, or personal projects in cybersecurity

  • Security+
  • Network+
  • SSCP

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offer for this role is $70,000 - $100,100 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
