Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
An Information Security (Infosec) intern to assist in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of U.S. Venture by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security requests. They also support the implementation of security measures and compliance with industry standards.
U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May - August 2027. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in daily operations

  • Work ticket queue

  • Vulnerability management

  • Attend daily stand-up meetings

  • Project: Preparation for Cyber Security Awareness Month

  • Project: Information Security Awareness Video Competition

  • Performs simple security administration tasks.

  • Maintains relevant records and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working toward a degree in Information Security, or comparable preferred
  • Works under close direction. Uses little discretion in attending to enquiries. Is expected to seek guidance in unexpected situations.
  • Minimal influence. May work alone or interact with immediate colleagues.
  • Performs routine activities in a structured environment. Requires assistance in resolving unexpected problems. Participates in the generation of new ideas.
  • Has sufficient oral and written communication skills for effective engagement with immediate colleagues.
