Job description

Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a candidate with experience as a Cyber Intelligence Officer. This person needs to have work experience with NASIC, Cybersecurity, Defense Acquisition and Supply Chain Intel. This position is onsite at Hanscom AFB. The candidate will be responsible for both protecting our information as well as collecting data from external threats, Intelligence Officers are essential to operational planning and ultimate success. From analyzing data to coordinating with other services or determining the capabilities and vulnerabilities of an adversary, these highly trained officers provide indispensable knowledge pivotal to Airmen successfully completing their missions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains the security and integrity of cyber systems and networks.
  • Identifies and acquires raw, primary, and secondary data for predictive and reactive analyses.
  • Evaluates cyber threat operations and system vulnerabilities and develops assessments, threat profiles and custom detection capabilities.
  • Analyzes network traffic using raw packet data, net flow, and customer sensor output.
  • Coordinates resources to determine capability and intent of network events and resolve these events in a timely fashion.
  • Researches and evaluates new technology, techniques, and threatening capabilities and tactics focused on the threat to information networks.
  • Generates reports, briefings and recommendations to highlight these threats and possible resolutions.
  • Contacts external entities, such as intelligence community organizations, law enforcement agencies and other government agencies, as necessary.
  • May reverse engineer attacker encoding protocols.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree (or be within one year of attaining) in one of the following: science, humanities, social sciences, structured analysis, engineering or mathematics
  • Experience working in NASIC and cybersecurity

The expected annual salary range: $170k - $190k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills. All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
