  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced experience with CxAlloy as well as scheduling applications is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time is required.
  • Minimum of six years of commissioning and/or project management experience.
  • Minimum of two years experience managing all disciplines for commissioning projects, including development of commissioning scope.
  • Must have at least three years experience in setting up CxAlloy Commissioning databases for all disciplines. Must have developed and maintained written commissioning plans on at least five projects.
  • Ability to mentor and/or train other project staff providing guidance to junior commissioning and project managers while they manage a project(s) on their own.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with owners, co-workers, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee Site Commissioning team and provide training for team member career development.
  • Meet with Project executives, directors, and managers at the onset of projects to establish commissioning scope, commissioning resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Review Subcontractor Exhibit A scope of work to ensure commissioning scope is included and adequate for the project needs.
  • Train Site teams and trade partners in the use of CxAlloy Commissioning database.
  • Assist in reviewing and approving commissioning plans.
  • Manage Commissioning database for assigned project(s) including assisting in the initial development of database for projects, set up Commissioning checklists, provide user access permissions, develop systems lists, room lists, equipment lists from design documents, and import submittal data.
  • Perform audits on project sites to determine performance of commissioning activities.
  • Generate Commissioning status reports for each discipline and provide site team and trade partners feedback on deficiencies.
  • Responsible for commissioning and overseeing the installation of various equipment and systems on site. Ensure products are working according to specifications and meet the client's needs.
  • Execute and manage commissioning checklists as well as equipment status in the commissioning database.
  • Engage trade partners to provide startup reports, test reports, IOMs, Spare Parts Lists, etc.
  • Lead onsite commissioning meetings with site team and trade partners.
  • Partner with Site team to assist in the development of commissioning schedule.
  • Attend Pre-construction meetings and lead discussion on roles and responsibilities for commissioning.
  • Maintain knowledge of costs and fees associated with the commissioning services Gray offers.
  • Understand the effects caused by changes in either the design, engineering, or construction phases and the associated impact on commissioning activities, from the cost, schedule, construction management and construction operations perspectives.
  • Knowledgeable of when and how to address issues with customers and internal Gray stakeholders.
  • Maintain knowledge in technical aspects of commissioning and design disciplines to represent Gray as the "primary point of contact" in initial project discussions with customers regarding commissioning.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may indirectly or directly supervise other members of the commissioning team.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100K to 150K.
