The Role

We commission the mission-critical systems that keep data centers running. As an Electrical or Mechanical Commissioning Agent, you own hands-on execution of the tests that prove a facility is safe, redundant, and ready before it goes live. You work the floor: functional testing, point-to-point checkout, and quality verification through energization and turnover.

We are hiring across both disciplines:

  • Electrical Cx Agents verify switchgear, UPS, generators, STS, PDUs, and N/N+1/2N redundancy.
  • Mechanical Cx Agents verify chilled water plants, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, air handling, and cooling sequences.

How This Role Fits

Commissioning is the last line of quality assurance before a data center carries live load. You report to the Lead Cx Engineer or Commissioning Manager and are the person turning test scripts into verified reality in the field. This is a growth seat: strong Agents move toward Lead Engineer and SME roles as our project book grows.

Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical or mechanical commissioning test procedures under the direction of Lead Cx Engineers.
  • Perform pre-functional checks, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
  • Conduct point-to-point verification, calibration checks, and installation quality inspections.
  • Document as-found and as-left conditions accurately, with field photos and notes.
  • Identify, log, and help resolve deficiencies; support punchlist development and closeout.
  • Maintain a safety-first posture at every step, especially through energization.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years of commissioning experience (electrical or mechanical). Data center or hyperscale experience is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Working knowledge of your discipline's systems and the ability to read one-lines, P&IDs, and sequences of operation.
  • Field-proven test and documentation discipline; comfortable owning your scope on an active site.
  • You genuinely enjoy travel. This role moves between project sites, and you have to like being on the road.

  • Preferred: relevant certifications (NETA, BAS/controls, OSHA 30).
