Job description

Pennoni Construction Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA is currently seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for off-site fabrication shops throughout the USA that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.
Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:
  • Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials.
  • Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
  • Production of daily written shop reports.

Required Attributes:
  • Minimum Education: High School.
  • Minimum years of experience: 3.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well independently and with others.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience performing QA/QC durung bridge fabrication, including fracture critical marerial (FCM).
  • Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
  • Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures.
  • AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
  • Coating Inspection experience.
