Project Manager
Location: Chicago, IL or Fully Remote Duration: 12+ months
Job description: The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Client's Workplace Benefits (CWB) Employee Benefits program, implementing project management best practices to effectively manage and deliver expected project outcomes for the implementation and rollout of new product, technology and administrative capabilities to support CWB's expanded market presence in medium to large market group insurance. This role represents a key component of the overall program and will develop and manage project plans, identify, and manage risks and mitigation and ensure resources are available as required to support project efforts. The Project Manager will work with Business and IT Program Management to ensure an integrated and consistent approach to project delivery and execute required governance practices to effectively manage the project.
Key Activities:
- Prepare and manage relevant project plans.
- Support product owner as well as key technology and business constituents.
- Assist the product owner in the creation and refinement of user stories and will also be responsible for development and execution of system test plans.
- Work across a global network of stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure program is delivered on time, within budget and meets the business requirements.
- Manage sub-project dependencies and program constructs leveraging multiple methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) to develop a comprehensive schedule while monitoring future work to proactively adjust for unforeseen scheduling challenges.
- Continually identify, log and work to mitigate or allocate risks and issues within projects.
- Identify required granularity to satisfy visibility and control needs while articulating complex schedules and inter-dependencies clearly for stakeholders.
- Ensure that project plans are integrated with overall program delivery plan remains aligned with business case.
- Provide timely, relevant statusing for projects including schedule, schedule and quality adherence along with identification and mitigation of risks.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in applicable field required Project Management Professional (PMP) or other IT Project Management certification preferred Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Visio, Project, Jira, and PowerPoint Experience 10 12+ experience leading large/complex technology, business or transformation projects Experience in full SDLC project delivery with a variety of methodologies i.e., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to clearly articulate messages Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities Extensive Group Insurance domain knowledge and experience covering the full Group life cycle with particular operational understanding of Group Underwriting, Medical Underwriting, Implementation, Enrollment, and Billing
