Job description

About Us:

How many companies can say they've been in business for over 179 years?

Here at ZEISS, we certainly can! As the pioneers of science, ZEISS handles the everchanging environments in a fast-paced world, meeting it with cutting edge technologies and continuous advancements. ZEISS believes that innovation and technology are the key to a sustainable future and solutions for global change. We have a diverse range of portfolios throughout the ZEISS family in segments like Industrial Quality & Research, Medical Technology, Consumer Markets and Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology. We are a global company with over 42,000 employees and have over 4,000 in the US and Canada alone! Make a difference, come join the team!

What's the role?

The Sales Recruiter will partner with sales leadership across North America to attract, evaluate, and hire top commercial talent. This role emphasizes hands-on recruitment for field sales, channel/partner management, and sales leadership roles, with a focus on Medical Technology segments.

Sound interesting?

Here's what you will do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with NA Sales leadership to understand workforce plans, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles for Medical Technology.

  • Source, screen, and select candidates for sales-related roles (account managers, field sales executives, regional sales directors, channel/partnership roles) across the US and Canada.

  • Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline through direct sourcing, market mapping, and targeted outreach; leverage networks, events, and professional communities.

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes: define job specs, screen resumes, conduct interviews, coordinate assessments, extend offers, and manage onboarding in partnership with HR.

  • Champion a candidate-centric process, ensuring a positive experience and timely updates to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Enablement to craft compelling employer branding and role-specific messaging.

  • Monitor and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, pipeline health, diversity metrics) and continuously improve processes.

  • Ensure compliance with ZEISS policies, data privacy, and applicable employment laws across NA.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and candidate expectations.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

  • 3-6 years of within-market sales recruiting experience, ideally in healthcare/medical devices, life sciences, or technical/industrial sectors.

  • Demonstrated success filling mid-to-senior sales and channel roles across the US and Canada.

  • Strong candidate assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical and regulatory environments.

  • Excellent sourcing capabilities (direct sourcing, Boolean searches, networking) and interview techniques.

  • Familiarity with region-specific employment laws, compliance, and best practices in NA.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer-service orientation.

  • Proficient with ATS/CRM tools, and recruiting analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting for Medical Technology or life sciences sales.

  • Knowledge of medical device regulations, healthcare sales dynamics, or go-to-market strategies.

  • Multi-function experience across both direct sales and partner/distributor channels.

The hourly pay for this position is $45.00 to $50.00 per hour.

We have amazing benefits to support you as an employee at ZEISS!

  • Medical

  • Vision

  • Dental

  • 401k Matching

  • Employee Assistance Programs

  • Vacation and sick pay

  • The list goes on!
